Lethbridge Asian Heritage Festival returns

The Southern Alberta Ethnic Association is bringing back the Asian Heritage Festival. This year, people can attend in person. On Saturday May 28 at the Multicultural Centre locals will be able to enjoy tasty food along with free entertainment. An official with the group explains why an event like this is so important.

“SAEA has over 21 different groups, different culture groups as members here, so we try to celebrate many of those different cultures with doing events here, and so Asian Heritage Festival is one of our popular ones that we do annually. It’s super important for the community to come out and learn in a fun interactive way all about the culture. It’s a great experience, it’s important to be diverse and we want everybody to come out and enjoy it,” said Jackie French, Executive Director at the Southern Alberta Ethnic Association.

The Asian Heritage Festival will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information can be found here.
