Contamination events rise this Summer at Henderson Lake Pool

As summer comes to an end and Henderson Pool already closes for the season, it is worth noting the increase in contamination events at the outdoor pool. City of Lethbridge releases, in 2025, there were 11 contamination events, resulting in 6.25 hours of lost programming time. While this summer, that number more than doubled, with 25 events resulting in 49.25 hours of lost programming time.

The City and Canadian Recreation Excellence are launching a campaign to raise awareness and encourage the community to help prevent these incidents in both outdoor and indoor pools.
