New Coaldale pathway fixes critical pedestrian safety issue

Pedestrians in Coaldale will finally be able to move around more safely with a new pathway that was just completed at the north end of town.

The stretch of pathway begins at the Rehoboth Garden Centre and stretches 400 metres south to 16th avenue in order to bypass Highway 845. The full connection beginning at Rehoboth will eventually connect to the Link Pathway, which travels all the way to Lethbridge.

Christian Conner, a member at Rehoboth, brought forward a petition to town council in light of what he believed were safety risks to pedestrians near the highway.
