LA Chefs Catering & Events needs clarity from province

The province announced Monday that it will wait at least three weeks before making a decision on Phase 3 of reopening our economy. Large scale operations in the city, like L.A. Chefs catering service in Lethbridge, say they were not surprised that officials are holding off on banquet style events.

“Step two mentioned conference centres, but then step four mentions the gatherings, and the weddings and that sort of thing,” says Marie Galeana, Director of Sales & Business Development at LA Chefs Catering “I’m not sure what we would’ve been able to do anyways in step two. It’s disappointing, yet not surprising”.

The province is currently below 450 hospitalizations, which was the benchmark for moving into Phase 2.
