Alberta Christian Leadership Summit promotes faith in action
Albertans of the Christians faith from across the province gathered in Red Deer on Monday for the Alberta Christian Leadership Summit.
Folks came together at Westerner Park to hear from political leaders who shared their beliefs and say Christians should be playing a larger role in the public square.
About 30 organizations set up in the exhibitor space to garner attention and show their support. The Alberta Home Education Association says this event is not a call to activism, but rather to leadership in our communities.
Several government ministers, including Premier Danielle Smith attended the summit. BCN was the only visual media allowed inside initially. Organizers say other media were excluded because politicians who are believers wanted an opportunity to speak freely without stirring up political controversy.
