Lethbridge Bulls expect to be at full capacity by Canada Day

The Alberta government’s Open For Summer plan brings exciting news for local baseball fans. The Western Canadian Baseball league will go ahead with its first ever all-Canadian roster, and the Lethbridge Bulls have made an announcement that the adjusted season will begin this summer.

The Bulls announced Thursday that the season will move forward on Friday, June 18, with limited fans in attendance, with optimism of increased capacity by late June.

“We’re going to take it cautiously at the beginning, and hopefully have a few hundred people in the stands to start with, and monitor it to make sure that we keep all of the protocols and safety measures in place,” says WCBL president, Kevin Kvame

The Bulls home opener will be on Friday, June 18, against the Okotoks Dawgs, with limited capacity. On Canada Day, the club will host the Edmonton Prospects, for a double header. It is expected that Spitz Stadium will be at full capacity for those matchups.
