Mission Afghanistan exhibit opens at Lethbridge Military Museum

It’s been more than a decade since Canada’s military mission in Afghanistan ended. To honor and remember those who served, Lethbridge is hosting a new exhibit at the Lethbridge Military Museum. The display, Mission Afghanistan, chronicles the Canadian Armed Forces’ involvement in Afghanistan from 2001 to 2014, during which more than 40 thousand Canadian Armed Forces members served in the Afghanistan theatre of operations.

The exhibit features personal stories, photographs and audiovisual material from those who were there, including stories from southern Alberta.

The exhibit will be on display until November 11. It is open Wednesdays from noon to 4 p.m.
