City launches Parks Master Plan community survey

The parks and cemeteries department at the City of Lethbridge is embarking on their Parks Master Plan Project with the kickoff of a community survey. The group is looking for feedback from residents on the parks system. Parks Planning Manager, Chris Witkowski says the master plan is all about what the public wants in terms of the parks system for our city.

“Our current master plan was done in 2007, so it’s 15 years old. A lot of the recommendations in that plan have been accomplished already. So as we look to the next 15 years for our parks system, we really want to know what’s working and what’s not for the public. We don’t build the parks for us in administration. We build them for community use. So to understand what the community is looking for, what they’re happy with, what changes they want to see, it really builds the format of the masterplan and all the recommendations going forward,” said Christ Witkowski, Parks Planning Manager for the City of Lethbridge.

Anyone who is interested in taking the survey can so do on the City of Lethbridge website.
