City Hall lights up for Christmas
Lethbridge City Hall is ready for Christmas. A tree lighting took place at City Hall on Monday morning and Mayor Blaine Hyggen says it would not have been possible without the help of city staff. He says many took time out of their busy schedules to put up and help decorate the tree.
“It was staff that came in and volunteered their time because it was really tough these past few years. It’s been difficult with COVID And so they all came and said, you know, what can we do to get this done earlier. We had it pretty late in the year for our last Christmas tree decoration, but for this, it was great to be able to see them all come out and get together. And it builds that morale as well within the staff here to come out on a Saturday and do that. So they had them and family and friends to join them to do the decorations,” said Mayor Blaine Hyggen.
In the spirit of giving, Hyggen says the city will be sending out some donations for the Christmas Hope campaign which launched last week.
