City of Lethbridge looking to engage public for Capital Improvement Program

The City of Lethbridge wants to engage with its residents regarding the next Capital Improvement Program, aimed at determining major projects and infrastructure developments for a growing city.

A two-phased engagement campaign will educate residents of proposed projects and their financial impacts ahead of the upcoming four-year Capital Budget from 2027-2030, and the ten-year capital plan from 2027-2036.

The City’s Chief Financial Officer, Darrell Mathews says, that decreased government grants will make decisions at deliberations tougher this fall.

Residents may check out a number of public events where city staff will be on site to take questions. The public are also invited to attend Community Issues Committee meetings between October 6th and 8th at City Hall, where feedback will be invited as projects are unveiled.
