Southern Alberta investing in Highway 3 Tourism Corridor
A joint-regional investment is helping to develop a tourism corridor along Highway 3. About $120,000 will go toward enhancing the connection from Crowsnest Pass to Medicine Hat with newly planned itineraries.
The funding comes from the province’s Northern and Regional Economic Development program. The Highway 3 corridor will feature experiences in agritourism, culinary offerings, outdoor recreation and cultural attractions including Indigenous tourist experiences.
The corridor is inspired by British Columbia’s Highway 3 corridor program and is built on the success from other past initiatives like the Highway 3 Ale Trail and Savour Alberta’s South.
Tourism Lethbridge alongside other regional tourism organizations will work to complete the framework by March of 2027.
