Fake Marshall Auto Wreckers website scams auto parts buyers

Imagine your car breaks down or gets into a crash. You search online for affordable replacement parts and find what looks like a great deal from what appears to be a legitimate business. You click a link on a Facebook page that takes you to what looks like the company’s website.

The page even displays the business’s real name and address, making it seem legitimate. You pay, and after that the parts never arrive. It turns out you’ve been scammed.

Criminals created a fake Facebook page that links to a fraudulent website using the name and address of Marshall Auto Wreckers in Coaldale, while changing the phone number and email to steal customers’ money. The scam has been targeting online auto parts shoppers since last summer.
