UCP & NDP divided over green energy moratorium
Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and the Affordability and Utilities Minister Nathan Neudorf, took part in the annual Whoop Up Days parade. Video Journalist Micah Quinn caught up with both to discuss some big issues impacting Albertans. That includes the province’s decision to put a moratorium on green energy which the official opposition was not happy about.
The Alberta NDP’s Energy and Climate Critic, Nagwan Al-Guneid, outlined her party’s stance on the issue.
Smith and Neudorf did not mince words with their reaction.
We also asked Premier Smith and Minister Neudorf about Lethbridge dealing with a rise in drug use and crime, along with an increase in the homeless population.
Smith says the UCP is investing money into building recovery communities for people who are dealing with mental health and addiction issues.
