Lethbridge Polytechnic returns with new Pre-Veterinary Medicine program

As post-secondary institutions are welcoming new and returning students for the new year, Lethbridge Polytechnic opened its doors on Wednesday for students to familiarize themselves with the campus.

There’s reportedly been been a steady increase of new students and Vice President of Academic and Research, Dr. Kenny Corscadden, says the impact from declining international student attendance has stabilized.

The Polytechnic will introduce a new two-year Pre-Veterinary Medicine program this term and are anticipating multiple new trade programs next year. Demand for the vet program is reportedly very strong with 34 out of 36 open spots already filled.

More than 4,500 new and returning students are expected to join on-campus and virtual classes this academic year.
