Support for Coutts 3 at Lethbridge Court House

Jury selection has begun for three men charged in connection with the Coutts border blockade. Marco Van Huigenbos, Alex Van Herk and Gerhard Janzen are each charged with mischief over 5-thousand dollars. Dozens of supporters came out to the Lethbridge courthouse on Tuesday offering support for the three who were key participants in the 2022 government protest. Some of the supporters held signs with one stating Freedom is God Given Not Government Given and another had a flag with the message of One Nation Under God. The blockade over the COVID-19 pandemic health restrictions impacted Alberta’s main border with the US for more than two weeks. The trail is scheduled to run until April 19th.
