LCI brings back Terry-Fox Run after nine years

Students and staff at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute brought back the Terry Fox Run on Monday after a nine-year break. Grade 9, 10, 11 and 12 students took part, making their way to the Civic Centre Park track and Henderson Park. The run also gave students a chance to come together and support Terry Fox’s legacy of raising money for cancer research.

Terry Fox ran 5-thousand 3 hundred 73 kilometres in 143 days before cancer forced him to stop. He died in 1981 at just 22, but his dream of raising money for cancer research continues today.
