Lethbridge County recognizes 25 years of Water Services Commission
Twenty-five years ago, Lethbridge County and the town of Coaldale established a commission that would provide potable water to thousands across the region. Today, Lethbridge County is looking back and calling the Lethbridge Regional Water Services Commission a ‘shining example of regional collaboration.’
The commission has been able to provide rural homes and agri-food businesses in the region with clean sustainable water. Water is purchased from the City of Lethbridge and is distributed throughout the region, including to Coaldale and the McCain potato processing plant east of the town.
The commission also plays a critical role in attracting businesses and industries along the Highway 3 corridor.
