A new study is being put together to look into how the St Mary and Milk Rivers can better support our agricultural communities and what improvements need to be made in order to do so. It will be presented to the International Joint Commission is June of 2025. Al Pietroniro is a professor of engineering at the University of Calgary. He tells BCN’s Hal Roberts that there was a time when Canadians didn’t want any part of sharing water with our American neighbours.
