City of Lethbridge celebrates Public Works Week

The City of Lethbridge celebrated their public employees on Thursday. This week marks Public Works Week in Alberta and the City Manager for Lethbridge says it’s important to thank the hard working employees in the windy city when you think about access to drinking water. Also where the garbage or water goes when the tap is turned on.

“Those types of things that are largely unseen. That’s exactly the way it should be is effective public works. That’s the importance of the staff and the work that they do.”

Public Works Week started off with the city hosting the Big Truck Petting Zoo on May 14.
