Innovators explore how A.I could affect workplace talent development
On Friday, Entrepreneurs, researchers and innovators met at Lethbridge Polytechnic to network and explore how can artificial intelligence be integrated in the workforce and how it will affect future talent development.
The InnoFusion conference hosted annually by the Polytechnic, University of Lethbridge and Regional Innovation Network of Southern Alberta (RINSA) explored how to best innovate AI as it quickly evolves, and how to prepare the next generation of post-secondary students for it.
The challenge, according to some experts, is finding a place where AI will be able to assist students integrating into the workforce, rather than keeping them out. And it’s different for certain industries.
The event’s Keynote Speaker was Myrna Bittner, the CEO of RWI Synthetics. Bittner added her perception to how AI could assist in modeling in areas such as disaster response and infrastructure and population planning.
