Lethbridge EMS service to continue as contract expires

The City of Lethbridge says that when the contract between them and Emergency Health Services (EHS) expires on September 30th, residents shouldn’t expect any changes to services.

The city is awaiting the results of a third-part review of the EHS benchmark rate soon, and consider its findings to establish decisions moving forward. The City is attempting to work with the province and EHS to explore all options that would allow Lethbridge Fire and Emergency Services (LFES) to continue delivering EMS, either through a future procurement process or by negotiating a new agreement.
