Fire Prevention Week focuses on lithium-ion battery safety

As lithium-ion batteries become increasingly common in everyday devices, fire officials are reminding Lethbridge residents that improper use or disposal can create serious fire risks. Fire Prevention Week gets underway October 4, with this year’s campaign focusing on lithium-ion battery safety.

As part of the campaign, fire officials will be doing community outreach next week, with events at LSCO on Tuesday, Park Place Mall on Wednesday, and Northbridge on Thursday, October 8.
