Chinook Sexual Assault Centre unveils new-identity as Aurora
The Chinook Sexual Assault Centre has officially rebranded as Aurora. The new identity represents renewal, a process that is at the heart of the work at the Centre. Cayley King, Board Chair with Aurora says the name reflects the organization’s growth since becoming southwestern Alberta’s first stand-alone sexual assault centre in 2019. She says the centre continues offering crisis support, system navigation, and public education programs.
King says at the same time the change of the name is taking place they are building and increasing their services and responding to the changing needs within the community.
Aurora centre is committed to supporting children, youth, adults and families supported by violence and child abuse.
