The 42nd annual Toy Run took place over the weekend and officials from the Southern Alberta Bikers say it was a great success. Bikers from all over Southern Alberta gathered for a day full of events including a parade and poker run where cash donations and stuffed animals were collected.
“By time it came time for the parade to roll out, we had account of about 155 ish bikes by time we got back to Honkers. So the parade was a huge success. Like I said, about 155 bikes and the support from the biker community as well as the public. We had members of the public dropping off cash donations and teddy bears and toys and stuff. So I can’t even tell you how overjoyed and ecstatic we are with the success of the event.”
Harty says over $2,500 was raised in cash donations.
