Voting process seamless at Lethbridge polling stations during referendum day

Voters in Alberta headed to the polls on Monday for a referendum that asks 10 questions, including whether Alberta should pursue a binding referendum on leaving Canada, or remaining as a province.

In Lethbridge, it was apparently easy-going for most voters across the city, without any reports of lineups as of early Monday afternoon. Voters tell BCN of friendly staff, but complicated questions to understand for some.

Over 1.3 million people participated in advance voting, accounting to 43.1% of eligible voters in Alberta.

Polls close at 8PM.
