Big news for the town of Taber, it was announced on Saturday that Taber has been chosen as a finalist in this year’s Kraft Hockeyville. Taber will face Tumbler Ridge, BC in a vote that will ultimately crown a winner for $250,000 and the opportunity to host an NHL preseason game.

The town applied for Kraft Hockeyville after the Community Centre explosion caused millions of dollars of damage to the twin rinks and forced its indefinite closure. The town calls the announcement “one of the biggest moments in Taber’s history”, with hundreds of stories of the arena submitted to Kraft for contention.

A vote by Canadians will be held on from April 3rd at 7:00am MST to April 4 at 3:00PM MST to choose the grand prize winner. You can vote at hockeyville.kraftheinz.com/home.
