BBB warns Alberta businesses about credit card fraud

The Better Business Bureau is warning Alberta businesses about a credit card scam involving fraudulent purchases of high-value goods. Scammers use stolen and fraudulent credit card information to make transactions that initially appear approved but are later declined after the merchandise has already been shipped.

Wes recommends that businesses verify high-value transactions, have clear approval policies, and confirm payments with their credit card companies before shipping products.
