New Alberta independent film features local country music artist

A well-known musician will be up on the big screen when his new movie premieres in theatres tonight. Canadian Country singer Corb Lund plays one of the lead roles in the movie called Guitar Lessons. It is an independent film that was shot in High Level, Alberta. The director of the movie says he and Lund worked before on past projects and knew he was the best person for the role.

“We’d worked together on a couple of things before and we knew each other and trusted each other and I’m really glad he did. He did a great part and he nailed it. He really brought some professionalism to his role like he does and everything that all in his endeavors, and he did a great job. I’m really grateful for Corb. Corb is instrumental. We wouldn’t be here doing this without them, so thank you to Corb and Lethbridge for raising a Corb,” said Aaron James, Director and Writer of Guitar Lessons.

James says they were able to make the film for less than half a million dollars.
