Local cheer club wins big at national competition

A local cheerleading club participated in one of the country’s largest cheerleading events in Canada and was able to bring home some hardware recently. After 3 years, different divisions from Peak Elite Cheerleading travelled to Toronto and won judges choice and silver in the competition. Head coach Samantha Paradee says its feels great to have brought back these medals to Alberta.  

“It’s an honor to have brought back hardware to small city Lethbridge. We’re the only team there from Alberta and we area very small gym and that just puts us on the map with how excellent our cheerleaders are. And the coaching staff are amazing here at peak and we couldn’t have done it without them or their parents. It takes a village to get a team like this to travel provinces and do this well. We couldn’t be more proud,” said Samantha Paradee, Head Coach at Peak Elite Cheerleading

About 250 teams from around Canada participated in the competition.
