Gas prices spike in many cities across Canada
You may have noticed that gas prices have increased quite a bit in many regions of the country. In Alberta, it is due in large part to the return of the provincial fuel tax along with the 23 per cent increase in the federal carbon tax. In central and Eastern Canada, prices have also jumped by quite a bit. Dan McTeague is the president of Canadians for Affordable Energy, and he offered up some of the numbers.
