Emergency Preparedness Week kicks off in Lethbridge

Emergency Preparedness Week kicked off nationally on Monday. It serves as an opportunity to remind Canadians to get prepared for future emergency situations. Here in Lethbridge, Chief Fire Marshal, Troy Hicks stressed the importance of having a 72-hour emergency kit on hand.

The City has some planned events to support Emergency Preparedness Week, including a chance to get your hands on a 72-hour emergency kit free of charge.

The 2024 campaign is “Be Prepared, Know Your Risk!” which encourages everyone to understand the risks in their area and learn what actions they can take to protect themselves and families.
