Coulee Cleanup to begin April 23

The Coulee Cleanup is set to go for Saturday. The Lethbridge College Students’ Association is hosting the event to get rid of the garbage that litters our beautiful city. Friday is also Earth Day which supports environmental sustainability and protection. Tanner Marcer, the Events and Communication Manager for the LCSA, says the group has all the right tools needed to get the job done.

“Garbage tongs and stuff like that. If there’s any equipment like broken glass or broken bottles, we put that in buckets. Everything else will go in plastic bags, just so we can pack that around lightly. If there are needles we’ll just call needle control and get some people down there to taker care of that. We’re hoping to make our way around Fort Whoop Up and into the coulees and clean our beautiful Lethbridge area.”

The event will run for one hour starting at 10am and the LCSA is encouraging everyone to come down to Fort Whoop Up.
