Construction changes made at YQL ahead of Flair Airlines
In preparation for Flair Airlines flying into YQL, construction has picked up once again at the Lethbridge airport. In order to accommodate the larger aircraft that will be on the tarmac this winter, the airport had to make some renovations. Some of the changes include increasing the holding room capacity after passengers go through screening, adding a baggage drop, and space for customs. Airport Manager, Cameron Prince, says construction has been going well so far.
“We’ve been, ever since the introduction of Flair we’ve been working like crazy behind the scenes to try and find a way to accommodate that all that stuff within the building and also preserve much of the renovation from last year. Everything is going well now, there is obviously hiccups along the way with supply chain and things like that but everything is going well now. We got all the crews on site as you can see and we are looking good for that December 1st start date,” said Cameron Prince, Airport Manager.
All the construction is expected to be completed by the end of this year.
