City lauches snow removal survey
The city of Lethbridge wants to gather feedback about what you thought of their snow removal efforts this winter. They’ve launched an online survey to garner opinions.
On March 18, the survey was sent to everyone who has downloaded the LOOP app and lives along a snow route; it will also be available on the city’s social media pages and their Get Involved project page.
Transportations Operations manager, Juliane Ruck, says the city plowed over 80 kilometers of residential roads. She says so far, the most common complaint they’ve received was how the snowplows blocked people’s driveways with snow.
“We will be presenting all the results to council later on this year – in June, that’s the plan,” says Ruck. “And then council can direct us to do adjustments or changes based on the results of the feedback.”
Ruck adds that close to 6,000 people live along the snow routes.
“So it would be nice if we could get up to 1,000 responses, there is a prize available at the end, um so we hope that that encourages people. You can actually win a ride along in a snow plow with the City of Lethbridge,” says Ruck.
The survey will be available online until April 7.
