Coaldale breaks ground on major new commercial development

A major new commercial development is officially breaking ground in Coaldale. Northern Development and Investment Group is set to begin construction on the 30-million-dollars Coaldale Crossing project.

The development is a 74-thousand-square-foot retail facility made up of six separate buildings. The project is expected to bring new business opportunities and support the region’s growing agri-food and logistics sectors.

The construction started this week, and the project is expected to be completed by November 2027. The mayor says Coaldale’s population is now over 10-thousand and currently, the town has a significant amount of residential investment coming in.
