Brooks Bombers cancel 2021 season

The Brooks Bombers have decided to cancel its Western Canadian Baseball League 2021 season. Bombers president Jason Wandler says the organization has been connecting with the WCBL for several weeks, and came to the conclusion that there were too many obstacles related to the pandemic.

“The current border situation, not having American players was a big deal for us. (Also) not being able to have fans. A lot of our revenue is based off ticket sales,” says Wandler “we haven’t really been able to fundraise or seek sponsorship for the last thirteen months…has been really disappointing for us”.

The Brooks Bombers plan on playing the WCBL season in 2022.
