Advocates for homeless say cold weather triggers urgent need

The extreme cold weather is posing a serious safety concern for Lethbridge’s homeless population, homelessness advocates and community services workers have said.

With Lethbridge and much of the province firmly in the grips of a polar vortex, homeless-serving agencies are working together and ramping up supports. Agencies are also asking for winter clothing donations.
