Lethbridge man charged with multiple child sexual offences

Lethbridge Police have charged a 30-year-old man with multiple child sexual offences involving two girls, ages 12 and 10.

On July 18, 2026, police responded to a report that a 12-year-old girl had disclosed to a friend that she had been sexually assaulted on several occasions by an adult male. Police say the 12-year-old reported three separate incidents of sexual assault between June 2024 and May 2026.

The investigation identified a second victim, who reported being sexually assaulted during the summer of 2025.In that case, a 10-year-old girl reported that she had been sexually assaulted by the same male during the summer of 2025.

Police say the accused, Nicolas Tilbe, was a family friend who regularly spent time with both children. He faces four counts of sexual interference and one count of sexual assault.

Tilbe was released with conditions, including no contact with either victim or children under 16. He is scheduled to appear in court September 8th and 22nd.
