Four city councillors and one former Lethbridge mayor seeking re-election in municipal election
Four city councillors and one former mayor have all filed their nomination papers for the upcoming municipal election on Oct. 18.
Belinda Crowson has served on council for one term, she says she wants to be a part of council and continuing to make a change for the city.
Another familiar face seeking re-election is Mark Campbell. He says one of the issues he hopes to bring to council if re-elected is Lethbridge’s social issues.
As well, Ryan Parker is seeking his eighth term on council, and he says he’s hoping to add another four.
Advance voting will start on October 1, and five-term councillor, Jeff Carlson will be one of the names listed on the ballot.
Another well known name is also eyeing a spot in council chambers, Rajko Dodic, served as a two-term city councillor and the mayor before stepping back. He says he hopes to address the pay as you go and police budget.
As for current city councillor Joe Mauro, he has decided to not seek re-election.
