Who pays for Canada’s health care?
Many Canadians are proud of our country’s ‘free’ health care, but since 1997, the cost of our health care system has skyrocketed 240 per cent! Nadeem Esmail, senior fellow with the Fraser Institute and co-author of a study on the price of public health care insurance in Canada, says that compared to other universal health care countries, the cost of our health care is high, while the access to care is very poor. Esmail shares details with BCN’s Hal Roberts.
