U of L students unveil art mural for Streets Alive Mission
Streets Alive Mission has unveiled a new mosaic on the southside of their building thanks to a partnership with the University of Lethbridge’s Integrated Management Experience. Over the span of 3 months, the Mosaic was created with tiles that were used to create the larger image.
Community members who bought a tile would upload an image to be printed on tile in relation to the overarching theme of Human Connections. The mural raised roughly $11,000 for Streets Alive Mission.
Co-founder of Streets Alive Mission, Ken Kissick, says the partnerships with Lethbridge’s post secondary institutions are key as students are the future of the world.
Project manager and IME student, Ali Cyre, says the project took roughly 11 months and involved 15 IME students.
The new mosaic can be viewed on the southside of Streets Alive on the corner of 4 Street South and 4 Ave South.
