Okotoks and Black Diamond to host 2023 Alberta Summer Games

Athletes in our province are getting set to compete in the 2023 Alberta Summer Games. The event will be hosted by Okotoks and Black Diamond, with the province investing $420,000 into the games. There was an additional $70,000 that will go to cultural activities. Government officials say the games will generate close to $3-million for the local economies of Okotoks and Black Diamond.

Officials say on five separate occasions, athletes who competed at the Alberta Summer Games also went on to represent Canada at the Olympics.
