Lethbridge restaurant close to bankruptcy, asking community for help
A restaurant that is well known for a stormtrooper versus the Lethbridge Police Service incident is now pleading to the community for help to keep their doors open. Coco Vanilla Galactic Cantina is asking the community for help and support in order to stay open and continue paying their staff after dealing with low sales throughout the pandemic.
Owner, Brad Whalen, says on average they’re only getting three to seven tables a day, which isn’t enough to survive.
As a way to drum up more business, Coco Vanilla has introduced a new $7 meal for the homeless population. Whalen says it is a way to not only support the restaurant but also help our city’s most vulnerable.
