Town of Claresholm looking for new mayor

The Town of Claresholm is looking for a new mayor.

UCP MLA for Livingstone-Macleod, Chelsae Petrovic, left the role after winning a landslide victory of almost 10,000 votes over the NDP’s Kevin Van Tighem in the Alberta provincial election.

Back in April, Petrovic came under fire for comments she made saying heart attack victims should take more personal accountability.

Staff with the town said a by-election will be held on September 18th and nominations for the title of mayor are being accepted until August 21st.
