Free parking motion approved by council

Lethbridge City Council announced this week that there will be free parking at City Hall during the last week of June. Councillor Rajko Dodic brought forward the motion and told us why it was important.

“This resolution, which was primarily drafted by our city clerk, Bonnie Hilford, I want to thank her for that is, as I said, to formalize a practice that’s really been in place. And really, it was to sort of engender some sort of media so that people would understand that they will avail themselves of free parking for the last week of June so that they come and pay their taxes at that time.”

Lethbridge City Council passed the motion unanimously.
