Taber corn stands now open in southern Alberta
The fresh taste of Taber corn is back for another season. Johnson Fresh Farms began selling cobs in Lethbridge on Monday. The warm, dry temperatures allowed farmers to start harvesting corn early. Currently, they are selling their peaches and cream corn, which is more on the sweet side.
James Johnson, co-owner of Johnson Fresh Farms, says if the heat continues throughout August, corn may only be around until early September.
If you would like to try some corn, you can find the locations to stand across Alberta by visiting their website or social media at Johnson Fresh Farms.
