Alberta students walk out of class for teachers
For the second day in a row, Lethbridge students walked out of class to show support for teachers and protest the use of the notwithstanding clause, in legislation that forced teachers to end their strike on Wednesday. Students from several schools across Alberta joined the action. In Lethbridge, the walkouts took place at Lethbridge Collegiate Institute, Winston Churchill High School, and Chinook High School at 11 a.m. The grade 11 student organizer Sam Olson says the government is not listening to students.
