Yellow Weather Alert remains for southern Alberta

A yellow weather warning is issued for Lethbridge and southern Alberta due to dangerously high winds.

Strong west winds gusting up to 110 kilometers an hour are forecast through the rest of Tuesday as far east as Taber. Similar winds will pass through the Alberta and Saskatchewan border at gusts of 90 km/h.

Environment Canada says that driving conditions could be difficult, especially for high-sided vehicles that will be pushed around by the wind. They also advise to secure all loose objects.

While gusts are expected to slightly weaken this evening, winds will strengthen again on Wednesday morning.
