Streets Alive Mission hosting its annual WING DING on Aug. 24

Streets Alive Mission is hosting its annual WING DING on Tuesday. The fundraiser is a family-friendly event that will entail a full chicken wing meal including a picnic style dinner of chicken wings, fries, corn on the cob, pie, chips and a bottle of water. There will also be carnival games and activities, as well as information booths about the services Streets Alive offers.

Funds raised will go towards the People In Need BANK (PIN BANK), Foot Friday’s, Trusteeship program, Feedin’ Them Hope and Takin’ it to the Streets.

Director of Fund Development with the Mission, Jennifer Lepko, says the fundraiser isn’t necessarily about a dollar figure goal, but rather getting people to sign up for monthly donations.

Tickets in advance are $20 per person or $45 for a family and can be purchased online or by calling Streets Alive at 403-329-1159. Tickets will also be available at the door running at $25 per person or $50 for a family. WING DING will take place from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Rotary Picnic Shelter behind the north Walmart.
