Streets Alive receives municipal funding for recovery facility
Streets Alive Mission is getting a huge boast to advance a 32-bed recovery centre after city council approved a large portion of funding towards building the facility.
The city will provide over $596,538 from their Affordable and Social Housing Capital Fund towards the project. The proposed facility at 925 – 15th Street South will cost $3.5 million to renovate and modernize to establish recovery housing for men in the complex.
Streets Alive Mission says the project is shovel-ready pending approval, with the expected completion date to come within 2027.
